Pretty_Pieces is a one-woman shop with occasional help. For the past 4 years, I’ve been involved in online LEGO® parts sales.

I’ve been able to build Pretty_Pieces while being a full time Mom.  Our youngest kid learned colors and counting by “helping” with parting out sets.  Our basement is full of LEGO.  The AFOL community is awesome. Life is good.

A few years ago, I stumbled across an e-book called Insider Secrets to Funding Your LEGO Hobby: How to sell LEGO, make money, and always be happy by Brian D’Agostine. It launched me on my online LEGO selling path.   Of the three books I read, it had the most usable information and was the best investment we made in our business.  We sorted out a bunch of parts, set up our store and started selling.

I currently sell as Pretty_Pieces on Bricklink.com,  BrickOwl.com, and sometimes Ebay.com.  Although my store doesn’t come close to supporting us yet, it is a nice little side gig with amazing time flexibility.  I really enjoy 80% of my work, and the other 20% is tolerable.  I think that’s pretty good.

Now I’m ready to pick up where “Insider Secrets” left off. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel.  I want to help you take your LEGO store to the next level.
